ALDRICH MEMORIAL NURSERY SCHOOL Rochester, MINNESOTA The design of this 8,500 square foot nursery school facility incorporates space for classrooms and administrative, library and multi-use meeting spaces. Using cluster type classroom arrangement enables staff to easily care for the 200 children attending the school. The use of playful forms in both the building form and plan arrangement creates an environment that relates to the pupils and helps make their educational experience here a positive one. Building construction is a wood frame structure with vinyl siding exterior. In accordance with local requirements, a storm shelter was incorporate within the central corridor of the facility.
