The Times Bar and Cafe Minneapolis, MINNESOTA The Times Bar and Cafe was an integral part of downtown Minneapolis when this location was slated for urban renewal. The Design Partnership, Ltd. was commissioned to aid in the relocation of the magnificent wood barrel vaulted interior. The owner purchased the 201 East Hennepin Ave. building and we reassembled the old interior to this location. Additional dining, accessibility issues, and kitchens were all a part of this relocation project. The building’s exterior was part of a historic district requiring all plans and modifications to meet the neighborhood criteria set up by the city of Minneapolis. This location houses two restaurants (first and basement levels) with corporate offices at the second level.
