Historic Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel Ft. Snelling State Park, St. Paul, MINNESOTA. The Design Partnership was commissioned by the Minnesota Dept. of Natural Resources to design an elevator addition, and to upgrade facilities to meet current ADA standards. Working with the Minnesota Historical Society and the National Park Service, we completed a Historical American Building Survey (HABS), because the elevator altered the exterior appearance of the building. ADA Improvements include an accessible building approach, sanctuary seating, rest rooms, signage, and other support facilities. In Phase 2, roof replacement was also completed to improve the energy efficiency of the structures and to restore all original copper roof elements.
